For Flea Market
Wednesday, March 25th, 2009Yukiko taught me how to make a handmade book the other day, and we have decided to sell them at the next flea market. Watching the news lately, I’ve become more environmentally conscious and wanted to remake crafts with things around the house that would be thrown away. I was in a crafty mood last night, and made these handmade books. These are made from cereal boxes, catalogs, paper bags, leftover fabrics, and linen paper. It’s amazing how materials can turn into stationary.
Security Envelope
Sunday, March 8th, 2009My husband had to send a check, and I thought it would be a cute idea to wrap the check with this beautiful screen printed newsprint by Yukiko and Doug. The “麻” print can be lightly seen through the envelope and it works perfectly as a design and security-lining.
(”麻” is pronounced “asa” or “ma” in Japanese, and actually my name uses this kanji “麻”)
Please visit Yukiko’s esty site: Chinpinch or Chinpinch blogfor her works.
Purex
